Located in Llano Bonito of Naranjo, the farm has been recognized for its Specialty Coffee Production.
The plantation has 100% F1 Hybrid variety plants, which has allowed to develop specific processes during the drying period in order to maximize the natural flavors of the bean.

THE MILENIO VARIETY
The Milenio Varietal is a cross breed between Sarchimor and Rume Sudan. It has very good cup quality at elevations above 1300 meters and well-adapted to agroforestery conditions.
F1 Hybrid varieties are created by crossing genetically distinct parents (for example, a wild Ethiopian variety x Caturra). The offspring of the cross are first-generation (F1) hybrids. F1 Hybrids are notable because they tend to:1. Have significantly higher production than non-hybrids.
2. Maintain high cup quality ideal for the specialty coffee market.
3. Are disease resistant (need significantly less agrochemicals)
F-1 hybrids are the hope for a sustainable future in the coffee industry!

Shipping Costs
Shipping costs are calculated during checkout based on weight, dimensions and destination of the items in the order. Payment for shipping will be collected with the purchase.
This price will be the final price for shipping cost to the customer.
Transit Time Domestically
In general, domestic (EU) shipments are in transit for 2 - 7 days
Orders placed before 12:00 will be dispatched the same day, otherwise, within the next business day.
Our warehouse operates on Monday - Friday during standard business hours, except on national holidays at which time the warehouse will be closed. In these instances, we take steps to ensure shipment delays will be kept to a minimum.
Change Of Delivery Address
For change of delivery address requests, we are able to change the address at any time before the order has been dispatched.
P.O. Box Shipping
Grounds Costa Rica will ship to P.O. box addresses using postal services only. We are unable to offer couriers services to these locations. Only 15 kg. bags can be sent using postal service.
Availability
Subject to stock availability. We try to maintain accurate stock counts on our website but from time-to-time there may be a stock discrepancy and we will not be able to fulfill all your items at time of purchase. In this instance, we will fulfill the available products to you, and contact you about whether you would prefer to await restocking of the backordered item or if you would prefer for us to process a refund.
The extended naturak process means that the cherries have been "slow dried" for a total period of 25 days.
It consists in placing the coffee in mounts for the first 10 days. The mounts are then turned around every 20 mintes. After day 10, it is laid flat but still in thicker layers of 10 cm when drying on the African beds or patios. The longer drying allows for a more extended fermentation period of the cherries. The slow drying also gives the coffee a longer shelf life. It will then keep its complex aromas for a longer period of time without showing signs of moldy or woody tones.
This results in a coffee with augmented complexity due to the fruitiness and sweetness in comparison with regular natural processes. The Naturals from Shefa have been a favourite and are a real fruit bomb!
