Cradle of Villa Sarchí variety

One of the most traditional farms in Costa Rica, producing high quality coffee since 1930. Here is where Villa Sarchí variety was first discovered, giving a great genetic value to new and improved coffee lines.

​

Located in the Sarchí mountains, the hacienda has the perfect conditions for healthy plant growth and extraordinary quality of grain.

​

Altitude: 1200-1600

​

Main variety: Villa Sarchí (natural mutation of the Bourbon variety)

​

Other Varieties: Marselleza, Obata

​

Process: Washed

 

Taste notes: Villa Sarchí has an elegant acidity, intense fruit notes, and a prominent sweetness.

​

Farm size: 250 hectares (Currently in the process of being restored and replanted.)

Created as a model farm in order to share knowledge of new generation coffee farming, using F1 hybrids.

​

Angelina has been planted with improved varieties in order to show the farmers how to be profitable by the use of high-yielding and high quality genetics.

​

Altitude: 1400+

​

Main variety: Centroamericano

​

Family: Sarchimor (T5296) x Rume Sudan

​

Process: Washed, Honey, Natural

 

Taste notes: In the cup one can experience ripe orange, sweet lemon, apricot flavours.

​

FINCA SEBASTIAN

LLANO BONITO

Located in Llano Bonito of Naranjo, the farm has been recognized for its Specialty Coffee Production. It is the testing ground and model farm for F-1 hybrid varieties.

​

The plantation has 100% F1 Hybrid variety plants, which has allowed to develop specific processes during the drying period in order to maximize the natural flavors of the bean.

​

Altitude: 1800 masl

​

Main variety: Milenio

​

Other Varieties: Esperanza, Centroamericano, Excelencia, Casiopea, L2A20.

​

Process: Natural, Honey, Anaerobic, Washed.

​

Taste notes: In the cup one can experience fruity flavors of peach, grapefruit, tropical fruit such as papaya, ripe orange and apricot flavours.

​

Farm size: 11.6 hectares
